The Orchid's Lullaby

The orchid is a flowering plant that has over 20,000 different species. Orchids grow in many parts of the world, but are most common in the tropical regions of Central America, South America, and Asia. They are beautiful flowers and are very popular with flower growers. Many orchids have a lovely scent and some are used in the creation of perfume. The Vanilla plant (used to flavor ice cream and other foods) is a kind of orchid.
