It teaches each aspect of jazz in a simple, stepwise approach so students can learn to how swing and have fun playing jazz. The book includes a CD with ten etudes and master classes that feature jazz syncopation and running eighth notes. It also has a master class on playing by ear and two master classes on jazz composition.
