Rhythm: Your time signature is four-four time, which means that there are four beats in a measure and the quarter note is equal to one beat.
This song introduces half rests. A half rest is equal to the length of two quarter rests. In this piece, since the quarter note (and quarter rest) is equal to one beat, the half rest is equal to two beats. Make sure to count carefully. To make the half notes two full beats, cut off eat half note right at the beginning of beat three in each measure.
